What I've Learned About ED REED and his Wonderful Foundation

“My parents set a good example for us with their solid work ethics and good morals along with stressing the importance of education, good health and strong faith”. Ed Reed was given various opportunities that some children are not given. Ed strives to give children the ability to realize what they are really capable of doing. As displayed in the quote it is obvious that Ed Reed is very kind hearted and outgoing.

What I have learned from researching Ed Reed and his unified Foundation is to never judge a book by its cover. I think it’s pretty obvious that the stereotypical football player in the NFL is harsh, mean, and brutal considering the hard-hitting and intensity that happens in Football. This stereotype applies especially to someone like Ed Reed who plays for the ruthless Baltimore Ravens defense, which is one of the best defenses in the NFL. I always believed that someone in a position similar to Ed Reed would be mean and brutal. I was completely wrong, Ed Reed is one of the most caring and honorable men that I can think of and has tremendous success with his charitable giving organization.

From researching Ed Reed and his foundation I have found the true identity of Ed Reed and his unobtainable willingness to help out people he does not even know.

I invite you to search around the Ed Reed Foundation websites, which will give you a greater understanding of the readiness and absolute goodness that the Ed Reed foundation has to offer to impoverished people. God Bless America!!

Glenn Younes Appreciating the Ed Reed Foundation

Ed Reed’s wonderful foundation has brought attention to itself from the BackNine Network. The article I will discuss is written by Glenn Younes and describes the individuality and greatness that the Ed Reed Foundation achieves at every event it takes part in.

The Article “For Ed Reed, Golf Fuels Giving” first describes the outstanding performance that Ed Reed has had on and off the field throughout his athletic career. Then Younes talks about Ed’s purpose of the annual charitable golf fundraisers, which is to raise money for those that are impoverished and in need of help and doing it while enjoying the wonderful sport of golf. He also talks about why Ed Reed loves golf so much. Younes explains Ed’s perspective on how golf is like life and how the game can help you appreciate how short and lovely life can be. Younes then takes part in honoring the charitable golf events as unique and special in their way of donating money to those in need. Younes also in his article, appreciates all the other charitable events that the Ed Reed Foundation has taken part in such as the Annual Football Camps for Children in New Orleans, LA and in Baltimore, MD, the fitness day at Booker T. Washington Middle School and the Fitness Day at The Seed School of Maryland.

I believe that Glenn Younes does a marvelous job explaining Ed Reed’s purpose for the charitable golf events that take place in New Orleans, L.A. and Baltimore, M.D. Ed Reed is a one of a kind individual that feels tremendous responsibility for the well being of all people. I feel that Ed is doing an excellent job with all of the charitable events he organizes. This article has taught me that Ed Reed is a great human being that has a natural willingness to reach out and help those people that are in need.

Bellow is a link that directs you right to the article “For Ed Reed, Golf Fuels Giving”. Check It Out!!

Milestones of the Ed Reed Foundation

The Ed Reed Foundation has had tremendous success since the begging of its time in 2001. The Ed Reed Foundation does over 20 charitable events per year with the purpose to improve the lives of our nations youth.  All of the events that the Ed Reed Foundation has taken part in have achieved greatness and will continue to in the future. I believe that the two main events that have had the largest impact on the foundation  would have to be the Annual Charitable Golf events that take place in New Orleans, L.A. and Baltimore, M.D. and when the foundation started to donate to the Big Brother/Sister of Maryland, to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society and to the NephCure Foundation of kidney disease research.

The charitable golf events that take place in New Orleans, L.A. and Baltimore, M.D. have had a great contribution to the overall stellar performance that the Ed Reed Foundation has had. The two events combined raise over 6,550 dollars that provide nearly 500 families with the necessary food, water, and shelter to make it through the holidays. What people don’t realize is that time off from school for some families is more filled with struggle that the holiday spirit. Kids that are impoverished will receive two free meals daily from the school they attend. While on holiday break they don’t get these free meals and will have to rely on their parents for the food. The Ed Reed Foundation helps to insure that kids will still receive he necessary nutrition while on their holiday breaks.

Giving donations to the Big Brother/Sister of Maryland, to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society and to the NephCure Foundation of kidney disease research have also helped distinguish the Ed Reed Foundation as a unique organization. The fact that the Ed Reed Foundation not only helps tens of thousands of children each year, but it also donates to other organizations/foundations makes it a one of a kind foundation. Ed Reed and the rest of the group donate more than 14,500 dollars each year to all three of the groups saving and helping countless amounts of children each year.

Although the events I have talked about have had some of the greatest impacts on the Ed Reed Foundation, these events could and probably will have just as much of an impact on the children this foundation is trying to help; Annual Football Camp for Children ages 7-17 in New Orleans, LA and Baltimore MD, Fitness Day at Booker T. Washington Middle School in Baltimore, MD and Fitness Day at The Seed School of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. All the members of the Ed Reed Foundation are very excited for the upcoming events and they can’t wait to help change these poor kids lives.

Although I am not currently donating/contributing to the Ed Reed Foundation, I believe that I will in the future. The great thing about the Ed Reed Foundation is that you can donate your time or money to the Foundation. I plan to volunteer at Fitness Day at the Seed School of Maryland in Baltimore and I plan to make financial contributions to the great Foundation Ed and his companions have created.
