SERVICE FOR A PURPOSE

Annual charitable golf events, football camps for children ages 7-17, and college scholarships to student in the New Orleans, Destrehan High School area are just some of the ways that money is received to help Ed Reed's thriving non-profit charitable organization.  I feel that it is necessary to discuss the importance and uniqueness of how the Ed Reed Foundation receives money from it's donators and sponsors.

The Ed Reed foundation is a growing organization that receives most of its money from fund-raising, donators, and volunteers.  The 2012 yearly total amount of money received was nearly 12, 300 dollars all raised for the sake of helping our nations youth. Everybody who works, donates, or volunteers for the Ed Reed Foundation has full knowledge that will not be obtaining any type of physical reward for helping out with this foundation. Although, I do believe one will receive a greater reward than any type of cash for helping out which is the incomparable feeling of satisfaction that most people who have ever done service work can relate to.

Ed Reed's inspiring attitude towards children, his family, and his work ethic makes him a desirable role model to strive to be like. I feel that Ed Reed must have great respect from all of his friends and family because he is an incredible human being with his charitable givings and football career.

The Ed Reed Foundation is always looking for more volunteers, sponsors, and donators so if you have any desire at all to be a contributor to this charitable giving organization, please look at the URL below for your support.

OUTSTANDING ON AND OFF THE FIELD

The 2004 NFL Defense Player of the Year, Ed Reed has also not only been selected to nine Pro Bowls and is the current record holder of the longest interception returns for touchdowns(106 in 2004 and 108 in 2008). Besides Ed's outstanding performance on the field, roughly 10 years ago he created a non-profit charitable organization helping thousand's of our country's youth.

My name is Will Johnson and I am here to blog about the significance of Ed Reed and his charitable organization called the "Ed Reed Foundation". I have always been a fan of Ed and the Ravens, but once I heard about how much he gives back to Baltimore and his home town I was astounded at his encouraging attitude towards life and children.

This foundation specializes in giving more and better opportunities for children of lesser means. This charity gives kids who may not have much going for them a chance to succeed and realize their potential.

Ed is most likely very busy from being a professional football player, the fact that he gives up his money and time for other children he does not know is very honorable. I idolize Ed Reed for his love of giving back to his community. I hope to be able to inform all of you about the honorable Ed Reed and his importance to the Baltimore community.
